Transition State is a Los Angeles based design house and boutique label founded by Lauren Schneider, Kelli Riley and Jenna Rochon. Three friends whose professional pragmatism and creative synergy created an all encompassing lifestyle brand traversing their knowledge of fashion and interiors. Together they have carved out a niche for those that value artful and collected style with a signature sense of Californian laid back luxury, creating a destination for intentional living and enduring sensibility.

Our founders

Lauren Schneider
Lauren received a degree in Art History from the University of California, Santa Barbara, followed by a study of Interior Design at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her career began in luxury residential working with renowned designer Philip Nimmo. She later broadened her tenor into the hospitality side of the industry with leading boutique firm Avenue ID. As a lead designer and project manager for scopes that included internationally recognized hotels and restaurants alike, Lauren excelled at crafting distinct and authentic spaces. Lauren delivers an artful point of view and unique perspective to clients. 
Kelli Riley
a graduate of both the university of california at los angeles, and the fashion institute of design and merchandising, kelli cut her teeth as vice president of design and merchandising at international luxury label, leisure society, and most recently as co-founder and vice president of haus of grey, a premiere sportswear brand sold in top tier country clubs and resorts. seasoned in the elite market of creating luxury apparel and accessories, she now blends her knowledge of expert craftsmanship with custom textile design to develop capsule collections for our client’s that are both aspirational and approachable.
Jenna  Rochon
After double majoring in advertising and psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, Jenna went on to study design at the University of California Los Angeles. Upon graduation, Jenna landed a position at nationally recognized and leading hospitality firm Avenue ID. She immediately excelled in the boutique hotel and casino development market, designing and project managing renovations and new build construction for unique guest rooms, suites, and public spaces. She is drawn to the art of creating unique experiences and delivering those unexpected moments that differentiate a design.
